Second Round Polls (Final Four)

What a first round! We had some tight races in the Burger Bloggers' Tournament and the Readers Tournament. If you missed the announcement of the winners, you can find them here, or just check out the brackets below. Now on to the Second Round Polls.
The polls below will be open all week and close late Friday, March 26th. Over the weekend, we'll announce the winners that will move on to the championship game. Best of luck to the four burger joints below. We think the match-up between Fatty's and Gourmet Burger Grill is going to be a tight one. Both burger joints garnered a lot of votes in Round 1. Let's see how they do in Round 2. As for the Bobby J's/Lord's Kitchen match-up, make sure to try both of these burgers for yourself before casting your vote - both offer a really great burger and should make for a tough decision.

Fatty's Burgers are not only the best burgers in San Antonio but in all Texas! Don't even try to compete with the Ref Burger! The beans are good too.
Fatty's burgers are the best. Lots of delicious meat, melt in your mouth specialty bun and now they have tater tots. No one can compete with them, and their complimentary pinto beans hit the spot while waiting for your burger to be brought right to your table. Friendly service, delicious food (try the teryaki wings, you'll be surprised) and a fun sports atmosphere! What more could you want?
Everyone listen to Debbie Mireles. She definitely know what she's talking about. Fatty's offers a clean family atmosphere, and the service is always top notch. If you've never heard of Fatty's, make it a point to stop by soon. You won't be disappointed.
Is Fatty's really that good?
You just can't compare GBG to any burger place, they have such an array of products that it is very difficult to choose; I eat there 3 times a week and they have a daily special Monday thru Friday that includes choice of fries, chips, soup or salad for $7.56; you want to talk about value? Can't beat this, superb quality!!!
Fatty's is the best, check them out. If you have not tried them then you don't know what you are missing out on.

This is a hamburger competition. While true that Gourmet Burger Grill has many options and many of them good (most of them not cow meat however) Fatty's Burgers has the best hamburgers, pure beef. Fatty's is nothing fancy like those other "hi-tech" burger Starbucks atmosphere places, they are just hometown cookin'.
Fatty's is good and I agree they have great burgers, but Certified Angus Beef Patties, fresh baked bread every day, and a variety of BEEF burgers (Regular, Cheeseburger, Tropical, BCB, Caprese, Wellington). Just checked their website and seems they have a good mix. Will try them soon!!!

You just can't beat a GBG burger, or any other patty they offer for that matter. The bison burgers rock, the crab cake burger sends your mouth on a mini-vacation to Maryland, the Tuna is to die for and the Portabello Mushroom "burger" satisfies even the pickies eater. But when it comes to the "cow burger", they have it DOWN PAT! Nothing tops a good ole GBG burger. Scoot on up to the northside and see what a hamburger is REALLY supposed to taste like!
Fatty's is the best. You will always find a clean place, great workers, and a great place to meet up with your friends. Also the Jesus is Lord writting on the yellow wall on the outside is the coolest..... no one can compare to Fatty's burgers and fries oh and don't forget the pinto beans... uhm good......

Gbg's is very delicious I tryed the Kobe. It was the best burger I've ever had. I also had some mac and cheese wedges, they were unexplainably delicious. Go gbg!!!

GBG has great-tasting burgers and a wide variety of options, from the traditional beef and cheese burger to fish, chicken and veggie burgers for all tastes and apetites. The atmosphere and service are great too!
Fatty's Burgers & More is a great place to not only eat but to sit back and conversate with your guest. The customer service has always been great and man.....those beans, mouth watering and very delicious. My favorite burger is the Mushroom Burger. Try it first then vote.

Fatty's is the best! Go to the one on E. Commerce! 50 CENT BURGERS ON SATURDAY! The 27th....from 11-2pm get there early if there's a line it's worth the wait!

I've NEVER had a burger as delicious and creative as those at Gourmet Burger Grill. It's also a great place to take the family. I love burgers, and GBG is heads above the rest. Try it and I'm sure you'll agree. They also offer outstanding salads if you happen to have a non-burger lover with you. Something for everyone.

I first time I visited San Antonio I had a Fatty's burger. The second time I visited it was the first place I stopped to eat! Simply the best!
Looks like the local GBG chain owner is on this board quite a bit.
I know GBG is not a chain like the last poster, but I can tell how they might think it. It feels like a chain. They have a "we are so glamorous and our you know what doesn't stink" attitude. Plus I hate the location in Stone Oak. I stay away from SO like the plaque. It's like going to an expensive sushi place in LA where the stars go and paying too much compared to a local sushi place that has really fresh ingredients and staff that tries hard. GBG is ok, but far from the best in both food and ambience.
I think that there are too many people that don't venture out around this beautiful city that much. Probably stay up in the North side to know where the good burgers are. This is probably the main reason GBG has gotten so many votes.
The commenter two posts back knows what they are talking about. You don't have to worry about any of that at Fatty's though. None of that glamorous feel, just real down to earth.
Fatty's is simply the best: great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great location. So get on over to the East Side and eat the best buger in San Antonio.
I know the owners of GBG and I can promise you, they would put forth much better comments than what you see here. Fatty's may have a location accessible to a greater number of people being downtown but I've lived in San Antonio for 30+ years and I've never heard of it before this poll. Venturing north of 1604 (it's at the northeast corner of 281, not in or near Stone Oak) is not my idea of a good time, but it's worth it to have an excellent burger like those from the Gourmet Burger Grill. I doubt you'd come away disappointed. And regardless of the results, the numbers are impressive for both restaurants.
